Leisa Wintz
A founder’s story that isn’t boilerplate: from a domestic violence shelter to a Master’s in Marriage & Family Therapy to founding the firm in 2010.
Leisa Wintz didn’t come to family law from a corner office. She started in a domestic violence shelter, interned in the 11th Circuit’s DV Division, and earned a Master’s in Marriage & Family Therapy — then directed parenting and juvenile programs at a forensic counseling agency and founded the Broward Teen Advocacy Project before launching Family Matters Law Group in 2010.
That path is the reason she reads a case differently. She sees the legal problem and the family system underneath it — which is exactly what you want in a mediator, a guardian ad litem, or the lawyer sitting across from a high-conflict opponent.
