Timesharing

Florida’s word for the parenting schedule

Timesharing is Florida’s term for the schedule of when a child is with each parent — what other states call “physical custody.” Since 2023, Florida starts from a presumption that equal (50/50) timesharing is in the child’s best interest, adjustable based on the best-interest factors. Timesharing is set out in the parenting plan.
